• Tribal Capital Markets Leverages SS&C MarketTrader to Expand Business

Business Wire - Tribal Capital Markets, LLC, a majority American Indian Tribally (AIT) owned, full service broker dealer, with over $12 million in net capital, today announced they have selected SS&C Technologies (NASDAQ: SSNC) as their strategic OMS and EMS software partner.

Client Spotlight: Tribal Capital Markets Leverages SS&C MarketTrader to Expand Business

Tribal Capital Management (“TCM”) will use SS&C MarketTrader for seamless trading connectivity, fully integrated with FIXLink’s global trading community of 400 brokers and 350+ Institutions, to support its growing business. MarketTrader’s integrated broker algorithms presents TCM with greater trading flexibility and control as well as trading analytics to assist in finding best execution. MarketTrader will displace TCM’s third party OMS provider where lack of support was a major issue. A critical requirement for TCM was finding a robust, turnkey trading and support solution from a single provider they knew and trusted.

When asked why Tribal selected SS&C, Alan Mele, TCM Managing Partner said, “We are in a relationship business and as such, rely upon honesty and unquestioned integrity with our clients, our external colleagues, and our employees. Tribal holds themselves and their business partners to a high ethical standard and we knew we could trust SS&C with our business.”

“We are delighted to welcome Tribal into the SS&C family,” said Bob Moitoso, Senior Vice President, SS&C Financial Markets. “We look forward to working together and supporting the TCM team as the only full-service, American Indian firm in the diversity space.”

• Tribal Capital Markets, LLC Announces $5 Million Investment from Morongo Band of Mission Indians

Business Wire - Tribal Capital Markets, LLC, the industry’s largest American Indian Tribally (AIT) owned boutique investment bank, is proud to announce an additional $5 million equity investment by Morongo Band of Mission Indians, effective today.

This investment increases TCM’s capital to over $12 million and makes it the largest American Indian Tribally (AIT) owned firm in the industry, as well as one of the most well-capitalized diversity firms in the country. TCM is also unique in the diversity space in that its capital comes directly from its majority American Indian Tribally (AIT)owners. TCM has been funded by Morongo Band of Mission Indians and is the only full-service, well-capitalized, American Indian firm in the diversity space.

Morongo Band Of Mission Indians Tribal Council Chairman Robert Martin stated, “This additional investment will allow the TCM team to continue to grow its client base and revenues. We look forward to the team’s continued expansion into additional business lines such as public finance, and in particular, gaming finance, as well as debt and equity capital markets. This additional investment signals our growing endorsement to all TCM clients.”

Chairman Martin added, “Morongo’s goal is to have the TCM team become one of the premier financial services firms in the US, not just in the diversity space. We all hope this can be an opportunity for American Indians to become a larger part of the financial services industry and the TCM team can use their expertise to help all Tribal Nations achieve better returns for their investment portfolios.”

TCM Managing Partner John Barry added, “We are honored and pleased that Morongo has increased their investment in TCM. This additional capital puts us in the top tier of well-capitalized diversity firms. Having more than $12 million in capital will allow us to be included in a greater selection of capital markets and public finance transactions, attract more sales and trading talent, and better leverage our balance sheet to provide client liquidity, as well as open additional trading opportunities with more selective counterparties.”
