As a veteran capital markets professional with expertise covering origination, institutional sales & marketing, relationship management and business development for top-tier financial institutions both domestic and international, Blake Murphy's investment banking experience spans over 30 years of delivering results for clients. His experience extends to securitization, public and private equity, corporate and structured credit and investment banking.
Mr. Murphy previously held senior sales, marketing and business development positions at Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns & Co., Cohen & Company Capital Markets and ED&F Man. As Executive Director, he was responsible for creating the U.S. structured products proprietary trading desk at Fortis Bank. In addition, he was global head of distribution for structured private placements at Rothschild Inc. and was a founding principal in a specialized merchant banking and structured finance business for the Dutch private bank, Pierson, Heldring & Pierson. He began his Wall Street career at Shearson Lehman American Express in 1982 focusing on tax advantaged limited partnerships and private placements. He previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Securitization Forum, a securitization market trade organization, and as Chairman of its Market Standards and Practices Committee.
