Ms. Mogavero joined TCM as Managing Director of the Equities division after building over 40 years of experience trading domestic and international equities. Before joining TCM, Doreen founded Mogavero, Lee & Co., Inc. the first and only floor based direct access firm to be wholly owned and operated by women.
Throughout her career Doreen has been an integral part of the Wall Street community. She was the first-woman member from the New York Stock Exchange trading floor to be appointed to a Board position and in doing so was also she was the first woman to Chair the Market Performance Committee of the NYSE. During this time, Doreen served as one of only two floor members appointed to the Regulation, Enforcement and Listing Standard Committee. Doreen became a member of the New York Stock Exchange in 1980 and began her career in 1975 as the clerk for Ivan F. Boesky and Co. She served on the NYSE Technology Planning and Oversight Committee, was Vice President of the Organization of Independent Floor Brokers, Treasurer and Trustee of the Floor Members Emergency Fund and served in a regulatory capacity for 12 years as a Floor Official, then as a member of the Board of Executives and then as an Executive Floor Official before leaving the floor in 2016.
Her other committees include 25 years as a member of the NYSE Hearing Panel, the Security Traders Association Trading Issues Committee the Financial Women’s Organization, and 100 Women in Hedge Funds. Doreen has appeared as a guest commentator on CNBC and Bloomberg as well as a regular on Fox Business Network. Although she is no longer trading from the floor of the NYSE, she holds the record as the longest standing female member in its history. She has also made brief appearances on the Ellen Degeneres and Oprah Winfrey shows. Doreen has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, LA Times, CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg TV and Radio, Forbes, BBC International Commentator, Bloomberg India, and Women’s Enterprise Magazine among others.
Today Doreen continues to serve on the Advisory Board of Sloan Women's Hospital at New York Presbyterian Hospital in NYC, NY. Her other committees include FINRA Industry Security Exam Committee. She frequently speaks and participates in panel discussions at industry conferences. Doreen has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, LA Times, CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg TV and Radio, Forbes, BBC International Commentator, Bloomberg India, and Women’s Enterprise Magazine among others.
