Arjan Roghanchi

Municipal Capital Markets

Mr. Roghanchi joined Tribal Capital Markets as a Managing Director of Municipal Capital Markets and Co-Head of Municipal Sales and Trading. Together with his partner, Jon Yamaoka, he is responsible for developing and growing the municipal capital markets business. His responsibilities include managing TCM’s Syndicate distribution on Negotiated and Competitive underwritings as well as providing secondary liquidity on behalf of our clients and issuers. Mr. Roghanchi has spent a decade building expertise in the Fixed Income market.

He began his career in finance in the Pasadena, CA office of Morgan Stanley in 2007 where his focus was on new issue preferred stock and alternative investments for ultra-high net worth individuals and families. In 2009, he joined R. Seelaus & Co. in Summit, NJ as a fixed income salesman before moving onto the trading desk and covering a range of taxable and tax-exempt securities. His focus was on building out the firm's electronic trading volume and profitability. In 2014, he joined Intercoastal Capital Markets. Together with his partner Jon Yamaoka, he built a Municipal Capital Markets business servicing a range of issuers and institutional clients, including the establishment of an underwriting and syndication department that was co-manager on over $20BB in transactions.  

Mr. Roghanchi has participated in transactions for some of the largest issuers in Public Finance, including the State of California, the State of Pennsylvania, the State of Massachusetts, the City of New York, the City of Boston; and agencies such as the New Jersey Educational Facilities Authority and the New York City Transitional Finance Authority. He has expertise in the expanding use of electronic trading in the Municipal Debt market which is of critical importance to customers as execution costs and quality of execution are increasingly in focus.
